ROUND 2: Deep and Shallow Depth of Field

All the pictures labeled as the Spori building were taken while in a group setting on the BYU – Idaho campus. I was very excited to see the bees, and it was easy to get them collecting pollen. The ones labeled as Somerset Apartments were on a more windy day, and it was extremely frustrating because the wind would push the shallow depth of field out of focus easily, so I had to move in rhythm or just time it right.

I had a lot of fun looking through all the trees and popping my head up into a tree while on a chair just to look at the other sides of the flowers that were too high. I was a little scared to get stung, but made sure not to bother any of them.

Nothing too special on the lighting with these. Just natural 10am light, no flash. Just a couple of them have just a click of exposure that I made in Adobe Lightroom, but for the most part, they are right out of camera.

I also took a bunch of macro photos during this shoot, but no bee shots because they don’t hold still. That would be cool though.

Thanks for reading! Let me know what you think or which is your favorite in the comments.
